Age Requirements
THERE IS NO AGE REQUIREMENT FOR MEDICAL CANNABIS
Minor patients are required to have at least one caregiver assigned to their account at all times. Only parents and legal guardians 21 years of age and older are eligible to serve as a caregiver for minor patients.
Register with the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission (MMCC)
The first step in obtaining your medical marijuana certification is to register on the MMCC website at https://mmcc.health.maryland.gov/Registry/LandingPage.aspx. In order to register you must have a qualifying condition (see below), a government identification card, a valid email address, and a passport size photo.
Qualifying health conditions for a Maryland Medical Cannabis Card
- Severe or chronic pain
- Severe or persistent muscle spasms
- Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
- Cachexia
- Severe nausea
- Seizure
- Wasting syndrome
- Anorexia
- Glaucoma
- Or another chronic medical condition which is severe and for which other treatment have been ineffective.

Call us at (443) 501-9201 to schedule an appointment. Once your appointment is scheduled complete the Medical Marijuana Forms under the helpful forms tab.
What should I bring to my appointment?
You will need to bring a government identification card, medical records, pill bottles, imaging report (X-rays, CAT Scan, MRI), etc.

How much does the Medical Cannabis Certification cost?
The cost for the initial certification is $175 (45 min visit) and the annual renewal cost $125 (30 min visit). Insurance companies do not cover the cost of Medical Marijuana Certifications in Maryland.
